Wedding Booklet Template!

My first give away (well, sort of!)!

If you are a catholic Bride to be, you should know that recently the mass structure has changed. There are new text and new words for the mass order. This, of course, has affected all weddings and made many wedding templates online obsolete since they are not in use any more.

So I did some re-typing and changed it to reflect the current order! Ta-dah!

Wedding Booklet Template 2013:
I don’t know why but sometimes google doc messes up my alignments so I do apologise in advance for the weird spacings.

So some points to note:
1. I included a commentator’s welcome note – OPTIONAL.
2. Please fill in your names, don’t leave it as “bride and groom” -.-
3. Songs and Readings inserted are my choices. Please edit with your songs.
4. I included Processional and Recessional song songs – OPTIONAL
5. I added a Thank You page at the back, optional but I highly suggest adding it.
6. This booklet is for a full mass, not service.
7. Last but not least, always seek final approval from your celebrant priest!

You can use this and edit your own powerpoint slides if you have a high tech church like mine. šŸ™‚ Anyway, please let me know if you have used this or if you found it helpful, I’d love the feedback. Hope this helps someone!

Hi Budget Barbie…do you know if the church will allow a ‘catholic wedding’ after the ROM legal wedding? I doubt it right since it defeats the whole purpose of a catholic wedding?

    • Hi Gwen, I have sooo many friend who ROM first! There is no wrong or right way. Sometimes they ROM first for legal reasons such as HDB or citizenship rights.

But the church wedding can definitely be done after ROM. xoxox

Hope you can help with some of my questions.

Im still deciding on a church wedding. But would like to know if they actually allow the couple to say their own vows? Also do they actually annouce the official “Man & Wife” and “You may now kiss the bride”? šŸ™‚

    Thank you!

    • Hi Melmel,

Both your questions have the same answer! It just depends on your priest!
While some are quite hip and not too strict, there are some who like sticking to the books.

I believe you can write your own vows (i’ve been to only 1 catholic wedding so far that this happened) but i think it must be in addition to the normal vows. The Man and Wife part is dependent on the priest, if he says it or not. Some don’t (mine didn’t!) and just simply gesture the groom to kiss his bride and some leave it to the commentator to announce them as a couple right at the end of mass!

So have a chat with your priest first to find out if your comfortable with his style and then decide. You should totally have a church wedding! Yes, its not a fancy garden or a beach setting but there’s nothing like saying ‘I do’ before your friends and family and God in a church. Classic!

      Good luck!

Thanks so much for sharing your template for the mass booklet, but it seems the link brings me to a funeral mass booklet and not a wedding mass booklet? Or did I somehow not click correctly?

Look forward to your reply. Thanks!
